GATE Program Goals
To have students engage in topics as practicing professionals with real life problem solving.
To encourage creative and critical thinking skills while students are involved in curriculum with advanced, conceptually challenging, in-depth, & complex content within cognitive, affective, aesthetic, social & leadership domains.
To provide learning experiences with peers to facilitate academic growth and meet the socio-emotional needs of gifted students, making them college and career ready.
To become self-directed autonomous learners.
To promote the development of metacognition.
To encourage students to become intellectual risk takers.
